Million Dollar Throw, by Mike Lupica

Million Dollar Throw, by Mike Lupica, is an awesome book!  The star character is a 12-year-old starting quarterback, he's got a good heart and a rare opportunity to win a million dollars and help his friend and family.  Plus, the story takes place in New England, the kid loves the Patriots and idolizes Tom Brady.  What more would you look for in a book from Mike Lupica?

  1. I read the book Million Dollar Throw by Mike Lupica. I thought it was a pretty good book.

Million Dollar throw is about a boy named Nate Brodie. He's a star quarterback for his football team, the Valley Patriots. He's a die hard Patriots fan and his favorite football player is Tom Brady. His family is losing money fast and his best friend Abby is losing her eyesight. His arm starts to fail him when he needs it the most. After a lot of practicing, the time has come. He really needs the money and he deserves it, but does he make the 30 yard throw?

Million Dollar Throw was a pretty good book. Some parts were action packed and kept you at the edge of your seat, while other parts were boring and in to much detail. I thought Heat by Mike Lupica was better than Million Dollar Throw. Million Dollar Throw was a pretty good book.

If i had to rate this book out of 5 stars, I would give it 4 stars. This book is sports realistic fiction. Do you think Nate will make the throw with all the pressure on him? Read to find out!

  3. Million Dollar Throw by Mike Lupica was an amazing book. It makes a great realistic fiction story. I really liked it. It was an easy book to relate to seeing how I play football as well as the main character and his family is going through tough times and so is mine.

So a basic summary is something like this: Nate Brodie gets the chance to make the throw of his life for a MILLION BIG ONES! But things start to go wrong. His best friend Abby is losing her eyesight, and fast. Nate’s family is also losing money. And when Nate needs his arm the most, it fails him. So Nate has to slow down, focus, and train his arm again to make the throw.

If I had to give it rating out of 5 stars, i would give it a 5 star rating for sure. Reason being that: One. Its easy to relate to. Two. Its an amazing book. Three. Its about a kid who plays the best sport in the world. (Football) Four. Its the best book I've ever read. And, Finally, Five. Its a good story that can teach life lessons. That’s why I would give it 5 stars.

Like I just said, its my favorite book now. I think you’ll really like it as well. That’s my book review on Million Dollar Throw by Mike Lupica.
