The following are books that I have read and recommend for middle school students. A growing list of books is on the right, titled "Book List," and each new post will feature a specific book or series of books that I will elaborate on. Visitors can post their thoughts on books I recommend as well, and they can also contribute to the recommended book list page. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI read the Million Dollar Throw, written by Mike Lupica. Mike Lupica writes lots of sport books, such as Travel Team, Heat and The Big Field. There are 243 pages in the book. The type of genre is realistic fiction.
The main character Nate Brodie is a teen and is the head quarterback of his team. Nates favorite NFL player is Tom Brady. The quarterback for the New England Patriots. Just when Nate thought he had it all, he got the chance to throw a ball through a 20 inch hole. After winning the chance all pressure is on him. His family is losing money and his friend is becoming blind...
Game after Game Nate tanks all his passes. Its the big day, Nate throws it...
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, by Kate DiCamillo. When I read this book my eyes were glued to the pages , they were so many things to like about this book. Kate DiCamilo did a great job with the details of this story. Kate made characters that you could love and be attached to. My favorite part of the book itself was the illustrations. Over all I think this book is more of a girl book but anyone could read it and injoy it.....including me!!! -Hannah Culcasi :)
